Are the Top NESCAC Schools Targets (e.g. Amherst, Williams)? What is the Difference for IB Prep?

Freshman at a top NESCAC and wondering if they are considered targets for IB or not. I know older kids here going to top firms, but not sure if that is by chance or if the top NESCAC are considered feeders (obviously not by sheer number of students). Also, due to the almost completely individualized preparation for technicals, is that attractive or not for firms? Any other information on disadvantages or advantages for top NESCACS would also be well appreciated.
