I am considering applying for a Baird IB SA position and was wondering what anyone who has previously applied, been a SA or had an interview had on their resume as far as financial experience prior to applying? I have no banking experience (I do have experience in other financial areas (mostly mutual fund administration) so I'm wondering if it's even worth applying or if I have no chance, especially since I'm from a non-target. any info on RW Baird superday for FT? did it already happen? seems like i got dinged :(
There superday was last Friday for the Chicago office- I think their Milwaukee office had it the same day.
I thought SA recruiting started later in December and January?
Dumbyoungbum... I believe Baird recruits at some regional schools (i.e. UW-Madison) in the fall for their summer analysts. I think if they don't recruit at your school you can still apply through January like most SA programs. Not 100% sure though but my father works there and that is my understanding.

Thanks everyone for the insight. I don't know much about the timeline because my resume was sent through a contact. My phone interview was 2 weeks ago and I followed up a week ago. Now the recruiter contacted me a few days ago, although we have been playing phone tag so I don't know what the call is about.
I go to IU and they definitely recruit here but I haven't heard anything yet. Hmmm I'll have to check into that bc Baird was somewhere I was going to apply.
I go to DePaul and they posted on our career site last year but not this year. Although, the SA position has been posted on their website since late August.
