Bank of America Merrill Lynch IBD location advice

Hello, I am wondering among these locations, which are the good ones in terms of deal flow, exit opp, pay etc... ? New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Charlotte, Palo Alto, Houston, LOS ANGELES

I'm biased, but I would choose NYC for deal flow, exit opps, pay, etc. In general, it's harder to break into NYC than the other cities, so it's worth starting there.

If you know what industry you're focused on, however, you're better off going to other cities. Tech = SF/Palo Alto, Energy = Houston, and Industrials / C&R = Chicago.

Other people are free to comment and critique. This is a more general overview than specifically BAML.
