Banking in Denver
Looking to relocate to the Denver area but go to school in the east coast. Anyone know how the banking landscape looks like in Denver. I’ve heard RBC has a team along with TPH and Petrie but not sure about other firms. Any insights would be great.
Evercore i think
BofA has a few seniors there a part of their regional coverage group.
Denver’s banking market is pretty small. RBC no longer has a banking team in Denver. Top players are D.A. Davidson, Capstone Partners, GLC Advisors, and Class VI. I’d say Davidson and Capstone are far and above others for Denver.
Doesn’t DA Davidsons comp stink
Class VI, SDR and Q advisors are premier. Would steer clear of FMI & GLC
Q Advisors, GLC, Capstone, FTI, DA Davidson, Quadringa, Forbes M+A
Class VI Partners seems to be growing their group, had strong deal flow FY 2022/23. Looking like boutiques starting to make headway in Denver outside DA Davidson/Capstone/RJ
Partners Group HQ is Denver now on the buy side
I think Janus Henderson has a pretty big office in Denver. A lot of the guys in the Asian offices came out from there.
Not IB tho
Petrie Partners is a great shop if you don't mind working in the oil and gas sector
It’s by far the best bank in Denver by far. Elite deals. They’re all elite level bankers from BBs who left. Really wanted to work there at one point. Couldn’t even get through the door.
