Question is an insult to those MM platforms.
Had a couple of friends that did CB, said it was super easy to convert internally IB
I've worked in CB and MM ib and this is so not true. MM IB > corporate banking and not even close.
To echo NPV, the move from CB to IB coverage / m&A is not easy and is not common
MM IBD hands down. Why not just lateral to an Associate role at BB IBD afterwards?
It's not like BB CB has better exit opps that MM IBD.
I think MM IBD would have the better exit opps.
As someone trying to lateral from CB to IB right now as an analyst, definitely MM IB
