Roughly how many summer analysts does a BB in NY take on for their IBD?
I'm sure the exact number fluctuates a lot and depends on the bank, but what are some recent figures you guys recall?

A friend said their BB had ~90 ib interns last summer
This is the number that I'm hearing thrown around by most my friends at BB, give or take 10 depending on the bank.
I've heard numbers between 50-70. Can anyone verify this general estimate? Curious to get input.
Last summer around 8x analyst interns for an european IB in NYC
My BB NYC S&T internship last summer had ~70 (with about 6-8 of them being sophomores, the rest juniors).
Most of the bulges will have between 60-90 in IB depending on the year.
140 at my BB last summer including SF/Houston/Chi/LA. So probably around 100-110 in NYC.

Those who are at BBs already, do you know if the summer intern class sizes for IBD is bigger this year versus last year? If so, any idea by how much?
at my target, BB's were giving out something on the order of 2-3x as many offers as they did last year. this may not represent the entire BB's class size, but it reveals that recruiting was definitely way stronger.
I''m curious as to what the intern class size for IBD will be this year as well.

Does anyone know how big the BB SA classes in NY usually are?
my class was around 100 in IB at BB
I think it may vary a bit this year - the GS recruiter told me they had 130ish spots for SAs, but I got the vibe that Citi and MS reduced their SA class size.
I'd be interested in hearing about big these classes actually are as well, ideally from someone who actually knows.
ML recruiter told me their SA class for banking is around 140.
it varies bank to bank. Some places are in the 100 range and some are more like 40ish.
I know Merrill Global Markets has 80 Analyst full time slots for this years full time recruiting, so I guess there are probably about that many in the SA class

seems like the size of SA classes at BB is usually over 100, then what would be the size of SA class at MM banks in NY?
I'm at a MM not HQ'd in NY (so that may make the number a little lower) but I think the office there has 2.
