It depends on how much you spend per year.

Assuming you have the normal budget of a 21 yr old, you should check out the citi double cash back card. 2% off all purchases with no annual fee. It's an easy way to start building credit, and the 2% adds up over time.

Here are my favorites to carry around:

Daily Spending - Citi Double Cash Card: 2% on everything, no annual fee

WF/Amazon - Amazon Prime Card: 5% at Amazon and Whole Foods, no annual fee if you have prime (family account works)

Groceries/Streaming - Amex Blue Cash Preferred: 6% on groceries & streaming services, $95 annual fee

Rotating - Chase Freedom Flex: 5% on rotating categories, $200 after you spend $500, no annual fee

If you enjoy traveling, I would recommend an airline affiliated card. I personally have the Delta Skymiles card which helps me rack up points that I can put towards future flights. It’s always fun to travel for “free”. There are bonuses connected to airline purchases, restaurant purchases, grocery purchases, etc.

Assess which airline you use most and get their credit card. You won’t regret it.

There are websites literally dedicated to this exact topic that would have provided information far better than anyone on here could provide. And crunching the numbers is the best advice because everyone's spending habits are different, there were 5+ suggestions given on here alone and the only way to know which is best for OP is to crunch the numbers.
