Best exits for work life balance?

I’ll keep it short and sweet, I’m 1.5 years into IB at a historically sweating oil & gas coverage group (HTX) and I am burnt out. Like really, really burnt out.

I think somewhere down the line I could see myself doing high finance in a more senior level position that was more client facing and less demanding, but for now I want out.

So the question is, what is the best exist I could shoot for from a work life balance standpoint without taking a 40-60% pay cut? (Current TC ~200k)

F500 “financial analyst”? Corp dev / M&A at an operator? Some kind of bogus “email job”? Super niche tiny PE?

Let me know if anyone has experience or thoughts on this. Advice appreciated.
