Hi all,
I just joined a boutique today and realise that the bonus for analyst will be released in June. I do not think I will be entitled for the bonus.
May I ask how lateral hire analysts are treated in other companies? What is usually the cutoff (how many months for that year) period for the analyst to be entitled to bonus?
Will I will then be entitled to 14 months bonus ? (2 months this year + 12 months of service next year)
Appreciate any sharing of your own experience.

You would get a prorated bonus up until the cutoff date. No way would go back and give a 14 month bonus.
June may be when bonuses are paid, but for what period are they paying? For instance, some firms pay bonuses in February/March based on performance from Jan 1 thru Dec 31 of the prior year. So you may have been working for 2 months when bonuses are paid, but you have 0 months for the relevant bonus period.
Operate in your personal life as if you will get 0 and be happy with anything if you get it. I've only worked with one bank and most of my connections are here and the bonuses happen in Q1 so I'm unsure on the June month style.
