Breaking In - Possible for me to swing IB with this background?

Stats:

Cornell: Poli sci major, minors in biology and management; GPA = 3.3 Internships: political risk at Exxon, summer R & D intern at Eli Lilly pharma

Question: Is it possible for me to swing IB with this background? What about consulting?

PS sorry if I sound like a noob, I'm sort of new to this

GPA seems a little low, even for accounting (which generally requires a lower GPA than IB and consulting). but if you get lucky and swing an interview or 2, its all on how you connect with the interviewer from there

What year are you, assuming junior? IB is possible though it's gonna be tough for OCR given that you have no actual finance internships and aren't an econ/aem major. But definitely apply as you have some interesting experiences and would maybe get some interviews.

As a Cornell person who recently went through SA and FT recruiting for consulting, its gonna be extremely tough unless you do some insane networking. Consulting places put a huge emphasis on GPA and even with a 3.5+ I still found myself dinged at most places, its just extremely competitive. PM me if you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to answer
