Business Development in Investment Banking and Consulting

A few questions about BD roles at investment banks and consulting firms since there's very few threads on this topic and not much information elsewhere.

I can't find much data on glassdoor for these roles, what could I expect in terms of salary at the entry level, associate level, VP level and MD of Business Development levels in consulting firms or investment banks? A thread from 2017 had some points but they were all over the place and didn't prove useful.

Are the working hours the same for the business development guys as the hours are for investment bankers/consultants with just less pay?

Is it true that you get pidgeon holed in this role and are considered a lowly salesperson below the consultants/bankers?

Is this a good job straight out of Undergrad / Will it be a good role to get into to eventually go for an MBA?

Any and all answers are appreciated!

I'm applying to a boutique consulting firm right now and they have an open position for a business development associate working right under the MD responsible for business within a certain country and I'm trying to get more information about it because there isn't any available online. I assumed all consulting firms/banks had BD specific roles.
