Can I bring my own mouse/keyboard to an in-person model test?
Doing a model test and want to know if it's okay to bring my own mouse/keyboard in my bag in case I'm just given a laptop at their office? Just wanting to be as efficient as possible and do the best I can with the time I'll be given on the test.
Based on the most helpful WSO content, bringing your own mouse or keyboard to an in-person modeling test is not typically mentioned as a standard practice, but it could be a good idea if it helps you work more efficiently. However, it's essential to confirm with the company beforehand. Some firms might have policies against using external devices for security reasons, especially if the test is conducted on their equipment.
If you're allowed to bring them, ensure they are compatible with the setup provided (e.g., wired or wireless connections). Additionally, practice using the default setup (laptop keyboard and trackpad) just in case you're not permitted to use your own devices. Efficiency is key, but adaptability is equally important in these scenarios.
