Can SA push for you?

Let's say there's a senior at your school who just interned at a BB. Do they push for kids? Do they text the senior guys at the firm and ask them to take a look at a kid? Or, if the seniors at the firm see your resume, will they ask the senior for their thoughts on you?

i introduced a kid to another alum in my group but beyond that they can’t pull

The MDs/Recruiting team for the target I went to took summer analysts out for lunch + asked for help spreading the word on campus / referrals. Not sure how much these count for anything but they did encourage input.

Some times they will ask SA if they would recommend anyone to be a part of the process. Other than that, analyst/associate definitely has more pull.

Not directly, but for anyone on here saying an incoming analyst doesn’t have influence must’ve been a very antisocial intern. During my SA, I got very close to some of the analysts who were 2 years ahead (one year ahead analysts still in training). I would text them throughout my senior year and have still kept in touch. I didn’t know many younger kids interested in IB, but I absolutely would’ve sent over resumes to analysts if I did. Would really hope that others had a similar experience…
