Citi Healthcare 2026

Thoughts on this group? They seem to be thriving under Chuck Adams and winning huge mandates. Does anyone have insight into exits (MF?) Are they considered a top group at Citi like M&A/IND/FSG?

Yep.

Would place them as a top group alongside IND/M&A/FSG/Tech/C&R who are consistently top 3-5 on the street.

Energy is arguably still a top group but their Houston team isn’t as strong as it was 5+ years ago.

Going through placement atm. I’d personally take it over Industrials/C&R. Management is putting more of a focus on tech/hc M&A as shown by new hires and departures of industrials rainmakers like Edelman. Adams has done a phenomenal job, Citi was ranked #1 in hc M&A for the majority of last year until Goldman took over in December. Still a bit too early to tell on MF placements since franchise recently got hot and the focus is on biopharma/medtech - pe is generally more on the services side. Overall seems like a great place to work on mega deals as an analyst, however team seems sweatier than average.
