Cloud/SaaS focused Investment Banks
Fellow Monkeys,
I am looking for boutique investment banks or industry groups in the Bay Area focusing specifically on Cloud / SaaS? Any ideas which banks are seeing a lot of deal flow in this area?

I would look through articles talking about SAP and Oracle's m&a activities.
I remember Barclays (I presume it was out of the Menlo Park office) advised Lawson Software on their sale to Infor, which is one of SAP and Oracle's main competitors in SaaS.

The bank I interned at tried to cover that area. Union Square Advisors and alot of the tech focused boutiques have those sectors covered alot and the clients are also in that space as well.
Are there any cloud/SaaS specific League Tables anybody knows of? First google research didnt bring anything up.
I don't know if there are any pre-made "cloud/SaaS specific" league tables out there, but I would take whatever league table you can find with a grain a salt as there is an especially large grey area when classifying companies as SaaS / cloud. I would just look at software league tables as a proxy. For the most part, the guys who have a strong presence in the sw world as a whole will touch a lot of the SaaS activity you are looking for.
The top banks for SaaS deals are MS, DB, JPM, GS, and BarCap (probably in that order).
For boutiques, JMP, William Blair, Pacific Crest are generally the top three co-managers for SaaS IPOs.
Needham, Stifel, and Piper also do a decent amount of SaaS deals.
