I never go to coffee shops so im not sure what they have. I really dont drink tea either. I just dont want to have a weird face trying to drink something while having a conversation.

Buy a coffee and an empty cup. Then as he is talking, just slowly pour the coffee into the other cup and vice versa over and over again.

he will be impressed with your skill and with your talent for coffee pouring

I wouldn't get a snack, personally. Yeah yeah, stupid hardo I hear you saying, but hear me out. It's weird in a chat when you're eating something, chewing, swallowing, etc. Just kind of awkward compared to each holding a drink. It's like going on a date, ideally you're not stuffing your face and instead spending the max time talking with each other.

OP if you don't like coffee, you can get something like an iced tea (black, green, chai etc.) and yeah, you don't even really have to drink it, just sip from it when you need to think of an answer or are nervous.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.
