I am a rising sophomore at a semi-target/target school who landed a summer commercial lending internship a few weeks ago. This position is at a large state bank and so far I've been helping with loan write-ups and research. Hopefully I'll be able to expand my role by the end of the summer but what should i be focusing on outside of learning and networking? Many current employees are school alumni and I've been trying to help them as much as possible and create strong bonds. I am sure that I can get an internship here next summer but ultimately I would like to work in IB or wealth management. How would this internship look going forward and what should I focus on for recruiting next summer?
