Corporate Banking Interview Prep
I have an interview for a Corporate Banking Summer Analyst role and was just wondering where I should direct my interview prep. I know the BIWS accounting guide inside out as well as the EqV/EV and DCF stuff (thought I doubt that would come up). I also familiarized myself with the different corporate banking products (term loans and revolvers) and more credit-focused stuff (how to determine credit worthiness of a company, how to price a loan, types of covenants). I'm just wondering if anybody who works in CB/interned in the industry has any insights on what other areas I should prep and what questions to prepare for. Would greatly appreciate any insights, thanks!
Cant answer your question but was curious on your past exp and gpa? And how did you study for credit technicals? Thanks for your help.
wealth management, search fund, investment banking internships. 3.9 GPA. Studied credit technicals by literally just reading up on the industry online
Just went through CIB interviews and landed. Accounting basics, DCF, and ratios. How AP and Depreciation affect all the statements and free cash flows. Liquidity, leverage, and interest coverage ratios. Never hear anyone talk about covenants or how to price a loan, but I’d assume it’s always good to have. Lmk if you have specific questions.
thanks – what DCF questions were you asked?
