Credit Suisse IT
Hi All,
I have been offered a tech analyst position at Credit Suisse Securities NY. The position is in Equity/ Derivatives group and will mostly entail interaction with traders.
Does anyone have any good / bad things to say about the position or Credit Suisse IT in general ?
They are pressing me to make a decision within a few days and I am still waiting to hear from another firm. What are the implications of accepting this offer and later rejecting it ? [For starters it comes with a sign on bonus which I have to repay if I reject it]
Any advice is welcome.
Is this your only offer? If it is, take it since its better than being unemployed.
As of now yes. I will hear from the other firm early next week. I have to decide about Credit Suisse before that - hence the dilemma.
Is the other firm for IBD? If not, take CS.
I actually interviewed for a non-technical analyst position at CS. I just got an offer a couple of days ago in IT Investment Banking in the NY office so, I am happy about that. I would like to know a little bit about CS IT as well. Did you accept your position? What advice can you give me?
Thanks.
What do you want to do long term? Stay in tech or back to MBA?
You're in for a surprise if you think CS is somehow more generous with letting IT move to front office. It's hard at all the large banks.
