DC Advisors NYC?

Hey everyone,

I recently recieved a SA offer with DC Advisors for 2020 SA in NYC. If you aren't familiar, DC Advisors is a new name on wall street stemming from Signal Hill and Sagent's recent merger. They are owned by Daiwa (a giant japanese bank), which has given them some pretty massive capital resources, as well as a number of offices around asia and Europe.

They are in the midst of expanding and seem like a pretty interesting bank, but there is hardly any information out there about these guys. I'd really appreciate any insight on their reputation, exit opps (PE or lateral to BB/EB), etc. I have the opportunity to continue interviewing at some Japanese and Canadian Banks (think CIBC, Scotia, SMBC), but my offer expires soon so I need to make a decision.

I really appreciate everyone's advice. I've been on this site for a while and it has been an absolutly incredible resource. I'm looking forward to hopefully being able to add some useful insight to this forum one day too. Thanks!

DC Advisory is having a pretty sick growth, good PE Exits both in Spain and UK, got also some friends who have been poached by some Mid-tier BB (BAML/Citi).

So it seems it's paying off, as far as I know they are also investing heavily in rainmaikers so it seems it will try to become a solid EB in next years

Do you mind if I ask how you got into contact with their recruiting team? I saw that they have a careers section on their website, but no locations for the U.S. were or are currently listed.
