If you're planing on UVA for banking, you should aim for McIntire, not Economics in the College of A&S. Otherwise, you'll be at a significant disadvantage, making transferring a questionable move. You could also look at other undergrad b-schools, particularly in good locations, like NYU, where you'd be able to network in person easily.

For the GPA issue, you can't put it down if you don't have one yet. Just put N/A (transfer student) or something and have the other school and GPA listed too.

Echoing the sentiment above, Target schools refer to their u-grad business schools, so UVA econ probably isn't worth the move.

Consider Vanderbilt, Kelley, Stern, etc.

Also UVA has a financial economics concentration. Which I would take many courses in McIntire but the majority in the College of Arts and Sciences. I thought since they still recruit at that school if I were to pull theoretically a 3.9 (not saying it is going to happen) then I would have competitive shot at laying an off for an internship. What do you think. NYU is out of the picture I don't even have close to the pre-reqs.

Sorry for the late response I should have gotten a notification, I never got a response. But if I transfer into their science school couldn't I try to transfer then into McIntire? Also I've heard that if you have a high enough GPA and everything else you'll have a decent shot at landing a few interviews and maybe one offer. I heard that of all the banks that attend UVA only a few of them exclusively recruit from McIntire. One of them being GS. I feel that UVA econ is still a lot better than where I am now. Any advice?
