Derivatives Reconciliation Analyst at BB or Internal Wholesaler at Small Investment Management Shop

Recently received two offers. Just wondering what are some of the pros and cons to each.

Derivatives Reconciliation at a BB. Think (Citi, BNY, JPM) vs. Internal Wholesaler at a Boston based IM shop. Think (Eaton Vance, Pioneer, Putnam Investments)

Depends on whether you prefer to be in a large company environment or smaller environment. A reconciliation role would be a good start with a more stable larger company. Plus, it could lead to many other things. An internal wholesaler role would be a higher start but with a smaller company where you may get stuck in the wholesaler role for a while before being able to move internally or externally to a larger role.

Personally if you are younger I would do the BB role. But if you are closer to your late 20s I would move to the smaller company for the internal wholesaler position.
