Work hard, be top bucket, learn a ton- you’ll place fine in PE. While it’s not a MF factory like some of the better BBs, DB is still a solid bank and you will get good looks. Still have some solid teams like REGL, M&A, TMT

Use to work at DB, and agree with others here. It's a good shop and you will learn a ton. At another bank now, and the work at DB wasn't any different. We were literally working on the same deals as all other bulges. My analysts went to good PE /HF shops (for those that did PE / HF) or exited to really cool corp dev / startup roles.  Don't judge your career options on finmeme accounts or you'll just be chasing thin air your whole life. DB is still a BB and you get basically the same experience as other shops (generally speaking)

Very group dependent imo. My group's culture is great. Very rarely have weekend work, most seniors try to minimize BS work, etc. I know I have it a lot better than some analysts at other banks.
