Based on the most helpful WSO content, here is what you need to know about Deutsche Bank's assessment centers and responses:

  • Deutsche Bank (DB) Assessment Centers (ACs): DB has been conducting assessment centers, and they are known to be in the phone screening stage for some positions.
  • Response Time: Typically, DB is quick at watching the HireVue videos and getting back to potential applicants within a week or two.
  • Current Status: As of the latest updates, DB has ACs out for various positions.

For more detailed and specific updates, you can refer to the following threads: - https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forum/investment-banking/2020-london-ib…</a">2020 London IBD SA/FT - https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forum/job-search/london-2022sa-progress…</a">London 2022SA Progress Megathread

If you haven't heard back yet, it might be worth waiting a bit longer as responses can vary.

DB has been running assessment centres for quite some time now. They are I believe roughly 55-60% full.

Has anyone found they’re going for a certain kind of candidate? A few classic target friends of mine got surprisingly early rejections

Received AC invite for O&A grad programme for next Monday. Anyone know how many Acs have been done already / how many spots filled from spring programme?

Most Helpful

1) A clear prioritisation to grow their M&A practice with a 5-10 year structured Plan

2) A real push to hire capable juniors which is rare in this current job market

3) Hiring many senior prominent deal makers such as Alison Harding Jones, a few months ago this looked a bit top heavy however, with time deals will start to definitely come in.

4) Strong Industrials and LF teams. Also there's been a recent push to grow the FIG team too. It's shaping up nicely.

5) Strong returns, new office, solid name brand, and if you want, you can definitely exit to MF PE or lateral to a better BB if you're ambitious.

Overall head and toes over the US office in terms of current opportunity and growth.

Was contacted by HR 2 wks ago, followed up last Friday - still in review. Checked the posts from last year - and some people were posting in Jan/Feb that they received offers post ACs

Done the SA AC couple weeks ago so ill try my best. 3 45 minute long interviews, Technical, Competency and case study (can be any order, not neccesarily the same order as the people you are doing it with.) Technicals and competencies i think are pretty self explanatory, and case study is document given to you right after introduction where you have 30-45 mins (i cant rlly remember) to prepare answers for a few questions that are to be delivered in a 'presentation' (its just the start of the case study) and then for the remaining time they can ask you other questions regarding the case study that you wont have an answer prepared to. btw the office is v cool and they have some tasty biscuits that i recommend eating in between the interviews, where you'll probably have a 45 minute break in between each, although some ppl have like 1 hour 40 gap in between. Also you wont finish at the same time as everyone else in your group bc the interviews are staggered. Good luck if you have an AC, feel free to ask any follow ups.

Anyone who has done AC of O&A grad still haven’t heard back? It has been over two weeks now and so curious about how it is going right now

Assuming you're talking about IB, did your source (HR/insider) say this for summer or grad?

And by European class, do you mean DB LDN has finished for summer/grad for Europeans in the LDN cohort?

Hey! My AC was in the first week of May for the O&A internship starting in September. They said they will respond within two weeks.

Just wanted to know if its normal for them to take more than 3 weeks and if there's a chance I could still get a positive response?

I was under the impression that they must have already sent out offers to their first choice of candidates and only when they reject the offer,, maybe the others will get a chance.
