Do I have a Chance (be honest)
Goals: Trading or Healthcare IB (MM preferred) Me: Sophomore at top 50 UG semitarget to non target. GPA: 3.33 Major:3.7 Math/Finance (was biochem and neuroscience) freshman year. Have 2 remote internships, one in VC and one at a fairly well known HF. Good ECs (Student government, leadership, mutliple clubs) started my own company. I have started networking. I am waiting for this summer but there is a shot at a big telecom firm and at a top 10 pharma firm. Also, don't know if it matters but a 34 ACT and have 4 and 5s of 8 AP tests.
Yes but do this
-Put your 3.7 Major GPA on your resume, not your cumulative -Put your 34 ACT on your resume -Make sure to emphasize (embellish) your internships -Network your balls off
thanks
is it considered bad/dishonest to leave out your cumulative gpa?
it's fine. Though they may ask for your cumulative GPA during the interviews and make sure to prepare an answer for that.
Why do you prefer MM
firstly, it seems more practical. My stats aren't the best so BB would be very difficult Secondly, I want to go PE and have been told by MDs at PE shops that MM is better because you work with real entrepreneurs rather than high ranking people at huge firms who joined later.
Lol that's gotta be one of the wrongest things I've ever heard. No offence
