Do Non-Finance Majors really get less difficult technicals?

Is it a myth that if you go to a non-finance target school, then you will get easier technicals during 1st rounds and superdays vs kids from Wharton, Ross, etc?

Possibly, but in my experience the kids who get the toughest technicals are the ones who think they know everything already. If you throw out buzzwords or say you were head of the investment banking club at Wharton, they're going to test you to see if you're BSing.

Yes, at info sessions I've been to they've literally said we see the classes you've taken and know how much you should know based on if you went to a LAC wout technical courses

i go to a LAC and was asked the same technicals as my peers at Wharton/Ross/other business curriculums at the EBs. Don't know about BBs, but an analyst at one of EVR/MOE/PJT even told me not to expect easier technicals just b/c I'd never taken a business class before.

Can confirm, not a finance major but had all of the same technicals as usual. Did not go easy on me haha (EB)

I feel like I should've went to Ross or UVA now instead of my more "prestigious" school. Studying these guides and feel absolutely lost in some of these topics.
