Early start if traveling/seeing friends not an option?

Hey guys,

I'm looking for opinions on starting work early (in maybe late February/early March) rather than the summer. I graduate at the end of this semester and originally planned to travel during my free time. But, because of a variety of circumstances related to covid (mainly that my parents are pretty strict and would require a 2-week quarantine before I come back into their house), it's not super possible. I know other threads on this mentioned backpacking or camping in national parks as a good travel opportunity, but as a young female I don't really see solo backpacking as a viable option for these 6 or so months.

I've made a list of things I could do to pass the time at home for fun or otherwise (reading list, studying/taking GMAT, etc.), but I don't know if it would be more beneficial just to start early. I'm also banking on the fact that I would have to start (at least partially) virtual even if I waited until July, so a virtual start in March wouldn't be that different.

Would love to hear any opinions on this, since I've seen that the other threads on this topic have really stressed traveling/hanging out with friends as the other option to beginning early,  neither of which are super feasible for me while I'm living out of my parent's house.
