EB PCA or BB IB

Have a FT generalist offer for low tier BB and top tier EB offer for PCA. Don’t really want to go into PE after banking, more interested in corp dev/strategy but am willing to consider secondaries. I’m worried about being placed into a shittier group at the BB, but also feel like EB PCA is less relevant to my professional interests after banking. Which offer should I take?

Ah, the classic EB vs BB debate, it's like choosing between bananas and apples, both have their own appeal. Now, based on the most helpful WSO content, here's how I see it:

If you're more interested in corp dev/strategy, a generalist role at a BB might give you a broader exposure to different industries, which could be beneficial. However, you're right to consider the risk of being placed in a less desirable group.

On the other hand, a top-tier EB offer, even in PCA, carries a lot of prestige and could open up some great exit opportunities. It might not align perfectly with your interests, but the experience and skills you'd gain could be very valuable.

In the end, it's a personal decision and you should consider where you think you'd fit best and which role aligns more with your long-term goals. Remember, there's no one-size-fits-all answer in this jungle we call finance. Good luck!
