Example two week notice?

I’m assuming everyone who has quit banking / left to go elsewhere just wrote a simple email to your boss / group manager or someone who handles that stuff for your group? Anyone have an example email / template? Will be giving my two weeks on Friday. Not sure how to go about it.

It's not that difficult. A short message suffices and you're not obligated to provide details. I just hit up my staffer and sent her a short message along the lines of

Hey XXXX,

I wanted to let you know that I've accepted a new role and I am putting in my two week notice as of today.

I greatly appreciate all the experience/opportunities that the team has given me and I hope we can keep in touch .

Happy to give more details (only say this if you actually are; I was pretty tight with the team, but just didn't want to make email too long) if you have any questions.

Please let me know if there's anything that I need to prepare in advance for my exit .

Best XXXX.

Funnily, I actually sent this after I had to directly tell my MD in-person that I'll be leaving because he was giving me a promotion without knowing I had a different role lined up. Hope this helps.
