Exit to Corp Dev

I'm Director level at a bulge bracket bank. Burnt out and want to leave. Have an offer at a large cap public company doing Corp Dev. ~$400k TC at a MCOL city. Amazing WLB of 25-35 hour weeks.

If I leave, I'll probably shut the door to banking or PE. Thoughts?

I don't see why you wouldn't take this? Unless you're someone who is obsessed with the prestige of living in NYC this is a fantastic offer, especially in a job market as horrid as this. I left NYC/LA financial services to start my online business, and net ~$200k across all my income streams (and I get a bit more from negligible dividends), and I'm living the digital nomad life and wouldn't trade it for anything. If you're truly burnt out, now is the time to leave before it takes a significant toll on your health and you find your work product/ethic slipping. If you can swing it, maybe ask for 1-2 months off between roles to do some traveling.
