FIG IB Exits
Hi everyone,
Was curious to hear about some peoples experiences following stints in FIG IB. Obviously there is not as big of a PE presence in the space and I am interested in hearing about some unique paths that I might not be considering/know about. For reference I have primarily worked with depositories but have also done some Spec Fin/Fin Tech work.

PE seems to be infatuated with FIG businesses lately actually.
I don't think IB FIG closes the doors to generalist PE, especially if you are at a top BB
If it's GS/MS/JPM, you can exit anywhere. If it's anything outside of that, like Citi, you're going to be getting mostly FIG related exit ops.
Have seen peers of mine from mid tier BB fig place in generalist. But it’s usually off cycle
How is Barclays FIG?
Honestly depends on bank. No issue from GS/MS/JPM FIG. Also PE love insurance brokers and AMs
