Financial Sponsors Group: Hours/Day-to-day?

What are the weekly hours for a BB Financial Sponsors Group Analyst? 55-70 or 70-85+?

What are their typical projects, and day-to-day?

(relationship coverage, non levfin)

Thank you!

I would say around 75 hours per week on average. Not much higher than that.

Typically Sponsors Group do not control the LBO modeling, which is usually handled by the coverage group or lev fin. This may vary across BB’s.

You will be doing a lot of pitching, but you will gain excellent exposure to the investment professionals at major PE funds. This will help marginally during buyside recruiting for sure.

I know a girl who got into Carlyle PE group in one of the groups from my class. She was smart despite having less modeling experience as her coverage or LevFin counterparts.
