For those at small boutiques/start up IB- what softwares are affordable and make your lives easier
Curious what types of AI and other softwares make the juniors + VPs lives easier when not at large BB MM or EB banks. Thx
Can speak on this, it depends on what kind of companies you’re covering Public vs Private. If you’re doing mainly private Sell sides, you’re mainly using multiples EV/EBITDA on your adjusted Ltm EBITDA for valuation, you can get away with Cap IQ. If you’re doing more capital raising, ECM/DCM (mostly DCM), you’re gonna need a Bloomberg terminal but if it’s mostly ECM related FactSet or Capital IQ Pro is more than fine. What industry are you covering? I’m covering tech so I require an alternative research software to gather insights on the space.
