It’s a complete non target school. It’s location provides a benefit though. You would have to do heavy networking. It’s definitely possible and I’m sure there are people to help you, but it won’t come easy.

Thanks for the response. Is there a certain club or society that is exclusive and hard to get into? For example IU Kelley’s IBW. Is there anything like that at Fordham where if you don’t get into that club you don’t have a chance?

The clubs don't help much with recruiting. Besides resume drops for Berkery Noyes, Investment Banking/Finance Society doesn't do much. However if you're diversity, the Fordham ALPFA is pretty good and they have a mentorship program. The Finance Scholars program is mediocre. It's only networking events and doesn't give you much of a leg up in recruiting unless you're diversity. Overall Fordham is a non target and sucks if you're not diversity. You’ll need to be a top student to break into BB IB.

Imnt diversity hire, fordham clubs don’t help it’s just you your networking and your interviewing / technical skills that will get you into a top bank, a hand full of kids go into Goldman, Barclays , JP , CS , every year (IB) and the Japanese banks

Don't get misled by the Fordham placement numbers. Almost all of the alumni at top firms are diversity hires. Also many don’t even go into IB. A lot go into S&T or PWM. The non diversity IB hires were 3.9+ and had amazing internships before sophomore year. I was at Fordham but transferred to a target.
