Forgot to ask for business card
Forgot to ask for a business card at a recent interview, is it unacceptable to just punch in the interviewers name into the firm email config to thank him?

I don't really see why it'd be unacceptable, it's the same process people follow for cold emails... At least this one will be luke warm.
So you forgot to ask for his business card but you know his name? So send him an email thanking him....were you planning on writing a letter to him with a quill pen on birch bark?
and if you end up not sending a thank you email, its definitely not the end of the world. from my experience, they decide whether or not to hire me before i even leave the office, so the decision is often made before you have time to write the thank you letter/email
