Freshmen Year Internships From A Semi-Target (BC)

I'm currently a Freshmen enrolled at BC CSOM and I'm going to be studying Finance. I'm just wondering if you guys have any advice on how I could potentially land a Freshmen summer internship, I live right outside of New York City (15 miles) during the summer and breaks. I am serious about getting a job in Finance and want to learn as much as I possibly can while also preparing to get a leg up for Sophomore year recruiting. I've heard that search funds can be a really good opportunity, but I have zero finance knowledge as of right now and have zero idea of how to apply. I'm also wondering if any of you guys recommend that I try transferring from BC to a target business school. I don't have NEPO connections which is sort of why I'm worried about going to school here.

Any suggestions are much appreciated,
Thanks a lot.

Soph at nontarget. My first internship was at a search fund and was definitely helpful to getting IB in summer and now fall. Even if you don’t understand finance at all you’re probably just going to be sourcing the entire time anyways
