Ft recruiting 2025

Current west coast target junior who has accepted mid west coast eb tech offer.

However, after going to school on the west coast and living here for some time, I cannot possibly see myself living here full time and want to do whatever it takes to get to nyc.

So, my options are 1) try to internally lateral to nyc office after sa (have seen a few ppl on LinkedIn do this at my firm from both la and sf office) or 2) ft recruit for east coast offices next year, which will be harder because I’m not in any school orgs and my school has a majority presence on the west coast.

Anyone have any outlook on if ft recruiting will be as abysmal as it was this year and if so any general advice? If I want to lateral internally what’s the best way to do this?

from what i know, FT recruiting starts july or august 2024 so i would recommend you keep your network strong and leverage opps when the time comes
