Hey guys,
Does anyone know if there are any investment banks (doesn't matter how small) that either specialise in or have a track record of, advising and financing family-owned businesses?
I have been reading about family-owned enterprises and have found it quite interesting, so I'd like to see if I can use this as a unique angle for recruiting at such firms.

Bump
LMM Banking would fall into this category as many businesses would be still owned by the original family owners. There are tons of boutiques dominated by Big4 Deals people. Don't know any that specialise, but the further you go down the mid market the higher proportion of the mandates will be family owned/founder led without (or with little) institutional capital.
BDT
Any MM or LMM bank that wins consistent business is good enough imo. Charlotte, Atlanta, Florida, etc. are good places to start.

I think that financial service is called merchant banking; acting like a “PE” in SMBs, which many of them happen to be Family owned.
I do not know about the compensation, but I guess it’s full of family drama
