Heard of Bentley Associates?

I know it is a boutique middle-market IB but does anyone know more about the culture, pay, people, etc. at this investment bank? The website looks a bit shady but it seems like this firm has some competent MDs with good degrees. Any insight to Bentley Associates would be great. Thanks.

Bentley doesn't hire junior people. They're operated by senior management only. They do offer an upaid summer internship where you can gain experience and the MDs will help you get jobs (not sure the extent of "help") at the end, but they do not hire.

From their website - I also talked to a guy there who said they don't hire full time analysts. Did this recently change? would be interested to know.

JUNIOR LEVEL PROFESSIONALS: Although Bentley does not hire full-time entry level professionals, we do actively seek a few Summer and Winter interns each year. These positions provide an excellent opportunity for first year graduate business students to work directly with our senior level professionals. Typically we only offer these positions to students resident in the metropolitan New York area. First year MBA students wishing to explore the possibilities of an Internship with Bentley should mail, e-mail, or fax (212-972-1820) a resume to the attention of:

I guess typically, they don't hire at the analyst level (People at the associate level probably do all the analyst work) but considering that I just had a phone interview with them, it seems that it depends on the group. The groups within Bentley seem to be independent so some MDs might prefer to have an analyst or two. I applied for the Travel & Leisure group.

Is that the group that plans vacations for the actual bankers?
