what does that mean? Of course you can become a banker it just depends on when and where... Baruch is not a target school, i'm sure there is more than one business finance majors, hence from the information you gave us, every finance student there is on track. You need a high GPA, contacts, and to know the finance behind banking if you want to get in from Baruch. Help yourself out a bit and elaborate on your situation, because no one on here knows if your a freshman, junior or have a 3.0 gpa verses a 3.9, so you need to elaborate if anyone can help give you some guidance. Also work on your grammar and english, your questions sound a bit crazy because no one knows what your talking about.

your best bet is to transfer to a target school..no matter how good a candidate you may be it will be tough if the banks dont recruit at your school..you never know how the job market would be when you graduate..

That and get your work experience in pronto. You'll be needing a few lofty internships to fill your summers if you're from a nontarget. And, find out what banking conferences are close to you so you can network. And Toastmasters. Public speaking and networking to boot.
