Hiring Ex-IB Analysts in Texas
Hi,
Not sure if this is against forum rules, but one of the portfolio companies for the fund I work for is searching for a corporate development associate with a strong focus on organic expansion strategy (not exclusively M&A by any means). Hoping to fill the role with an ex-IB analyst who wants to stay in Texas long term (DFW ideally).
Quick overview: This company is one of the more exciting in the portfolio with a strong history of innovation and growth in its sector. Culture is high octane or "work hard, play hard" if you will (not like IB). There won't be much busy work, but there might be a late night or two per month (again, not every week similar to IB). The associate would report to the youngest founder of the company and present analysis to the entire C-suite directly. The analysis will focus on business development and strategy (how to enter new markets, which customers to focus on, prioritizing opportunities, etc.)
Personally, I think the biggest upside about this position is exposure to a highly successful team with ambitious growth goals for the business. Culture is A+ as well.
How to apply? The only requirements are that you are eager to live in Texas and have previous IB experience. Post below if you have the right experience and want to be considered. Will follow up with interested parties through DM.
Deadline for DMs: January 15th
Thanks

Interested.
Great. Will send DMs shortly.
Interested
Interested, from TX and looking to get back. Also have the exp you’re looking for.
OP here: start date would be in H1 '21 ideally.
Interested and live in Texas currently. I don't have prior IB experience but did a few years in TAS and am currently working in corp dev but would like to change my industry (know you said IB experience was required but throwing this out there just in case since the skillset can be similar at the junior levels)
Any advice to someone who's about to be interning in TAS at a big 4 soon (specifically within FDD)?
Good luck.
I didn't think that these postings were allowed since WSO has their own job posting (paid) feature? I hope someone from WSO will weigh in on this because I might have a job to post soon too.
Rule #20 on the WSO guidelines governs posting openings. In short, you can't name the company but can post detailed requirements / descriptions.
+1 SB
Good to know. Thanks. I might post my job opening soon too.
Interested - please PM!
DM'd.
FYI sending out first round of emails to collect resumes. Please DM me by 1/15 at the latest to be included in the second round.
Great! Appreciate the post. Just left a stint with a BB in Dallas and have some relevant healthcare experience. Will send a DM this evening.
Stupid question, but what's your username to send DM to? Your initial post shows "Associate 1". Just want to make sure my resume and DM are going to the correct place.
No worries - just sent you a message!
I am interested

Submission deadline for first round of interviews is January 15th FYI!
