HL RX vs William Blair vs Baird vs Lazard MM IF the goal is to be in NYC?

Hi everyone, I know there’s many discussions on this before, but I feel like this may be unique because the goal is NOT to stay in the Midwest, and to make the move to NYC for FT recruiting or lateral. Have offers from some of these, so would love to hear everyone’s opinions on how they would rank HL Chicago/Minneapolis RX, William Blair Chicago, Baird Chicago, Lazard MM Chicago/Minneapolis. All of them could be leveraged.

Perhaps you should try a firm with a NYC presence? Baird IB has no NYC office. I don't know how fluid transfers are from Lazard MM to Lazard regular in NYC.

 

Go with Houlihan.

  1. The firms are not comparable in that they do different things/compete in different markets. However, in terms of how these groups/banks rank within their respective lanes, I think Houlihan RX is the best. That counts for something if you are trying to leverage the position to go elsewhere.
