Hours in Markets other than NYC/LA/Chicago

Do ibankers in Atlanta/Houston still work 80+ hours weeks? Or is this mostly just bankers in the largest markets such as NYC/Chicago. Also, would I be working fewer hours at a MM bank in Nashville than somebody working at a MM in NYC?

People may be nicer, but for the most part, the hours aren't much better. The MM market ranges very widely. The likes of Baird/Houlihan/Harris Williams will work you hard no matter what office you're in. Some of the lesser known MMs and boutiques will have reduced hours but you're almost always going to be at the office past dinner.

True. The main thing is, I do not want to work in NYC (or anywhere outside of the South, for that matter). I'd much rather work in Atlanta/Nashville but I don't mind working 80 hours a week or whatever it takes.
