How do exit ops differ in IB for associates and up with an MBA vs without?
Basically title. Say someone went A2A then maybe even VP. I know exits are already extremely limited at that point, but how much of a boost would someone in that position with an M7 MBA have? I don’t mean for something life MF PE.
Would lateraling in IB be easier for the person with the MBA?
I ask as someone who isn’t sure about wanting to recruit for buyside as soon as I start vs wanting to see if banking would make a better long term fit. And because as you progress to the point of senior Asc the skill set needed changes.
For reference, the bank I’ll be starting at has decent MF placement, but also is very receptive for A2A.
