Agree here. I know of 2 MDs that were let go, but don’t know of anyone other than that.

 

Currently at the firm (I haven’t updated my title on WSO).  It seems like things are more or less fine (aside from the aforementioned MD reductions, but those were warranted).  The real tell will be when Q4 earnings come out on Feb 1.

We got several different explanations from the seniors, not sure which, if any, were true. They included “we forgot to put it in payroll and HR is on vacation” and “we wanted to see our peers’ comp rates” lol

The bonuses were good, however. To avoid being specific / outing myself, I got a >80k bonus and I know I’m not top-bucket.
