how many times do you fly the private jet to maintain relationships

If you're an MD looking to maintain contact/build new relationships with C-Suite of companies, how many times do you think one has to interact face-to-face with a person over the course of a year to "maintain" the relationship, like 3 (once every 4 months)?

  • emphasis on the face-to-face
  • 200 different companies x 3 = 600 total meetings = infinite trips on the private jet over the course of the year
  • nights spent with the wife and family = less than 10
  • deteriorating marriage? = priceless
  • please actually answer the post guys and not respond to my math, I'm not some quant

Man WSO becomes less and less accurate everyday.

No MD covers 200 companies…maybe 15-20 tier 1 clients and then another 20 that they lightly cover.

Most MDs will keep in touch w/ their clients through phone calls / emails aside from a handful of annual meetings. Nobody is flying in a corporate jet also unless you are the head of the investment bank
