How Much Does Networking Matter Post-FT?
Sitting on a FT offer right now, seeing where a few final processes end up but for the most part winding down. Disregarding on-cycle Networking for FT, I actually really enjoy networking. Now that there is a void, was wondering how I can casually maintain and optimize my network. I was thinking of casually keeping up with diversity recruiters at the major banks every few months. Was also thinking of having at least like 2 people I can call on at every major bank. Maybe 1 person in each industry. Then of course just ad-hoc connections as I become interested in X industry or X firm. The idea behind this is to reduce ebs and flows of blasting emails and having to bullshit to new people, stay mobile and be ahead of any upcoming processes/vacancies by having at least some touch point at every bank.
Curious how much Networking matters post-grad? Has anyone done something similar and results?

Networking will matter from now until the rest of your life. Keeping up every few months with random recruiters though doesn’t sound productive. Better to network with front office employees directly instead
