How to handle the situation (networking) ?
Hey guys, can you please give me a piece of advice on how to handle the following situation:
I sent a networking message to a group director of a bulge bracket bank regarding a full-time posiiton in their team. The director then asked his associate to have a phone call with me, so we spoke for about 35-40 minutes (I think his impression was good as I am qualified for the position and have relevant internship experience at top companies). He then said that they will get back to the following week (this week) with the next steps. However, nobody replied at this point. Should I send him a follow-up email or do something at this point? Because right now my application is still in the system (in review, I completed tests and video interview) and I have only one step before a superday invite!

Should I suggest meeting in person, or in today's world this is too scary?))))
