How to know if a BB is right for you

Hi everyone. I've been wanting to get a little color on this for a while now, so I figured the only bad thing that comes from me asking is a little monkey shit. Now that I'm into the recruiting process, I am really having a hard time justifying wanting to work at a BB. I think that I want/ work better in smaller teams in a more "entrepreneurial" environment. Is working at MM or LMM bank a bad idea? I think there is a lot of value in the skill set you learn as an analyst and more importantly what it indicates and signals to future employers is important. I guess I am wondering if the skill set is still valuable. I certainly do not want to be an IB lifer. I feel like I may enjoy it more especially if I am able to find one with a great culture and fit. Honestly, anything will help here. Thanks.

If your goal is not to stay in IB long term, then take the BB offer, do well and make your exit into wherever you want IB to take you. Your options become more limited the further downstream you go in terms of IB rankings. This isn’t to say that culture and fit are not crucial factors to weigh but if you only want to do 2-3 years before the next thing, do it at the place that will best position you to get to that next thing.
