How to quickly change sleep schedule?

I have a 6:30am superday a week from today (the struggles of west coast time). Generally, I wake up between 8 and 9:30am. What's the best way to force myself onto a much earlier schedule so I can perform decently during the SD?

Pulling an all nighter is stupid, you’ll just be exhausted for the rest of the week and won’t be able to prep.

Just wake up at 5am everyday for the next week. Don’t adjust bedtime beyond going to bed when tired. You’ll be tired for a few days as you won’t get tired until late at night, but after a few days you’ll be falling asleep early and totally on schedule

In my experience, these plans to alter sleep cycles don’t work. I’d just wake up earlier that day. Not ideal but most practical. Good luck for the SD!

100% agree. The adrenaline will have you wired. Wake up, take a shower, make a pot of coffee, and you’ll be good to go. Just make sure to go to bed at a reasonable hour

Honestly don't think this is such a big deal. I've had to get up early for interviews, travel, all sorts of random stuff and when you have something that important to do early in the morning I find I have a huge adrenaline rush to get out of bed and often get up even before my alarm. Maybe start waking up a little bit earlier over the next week but wouldn't sweat it too much

(1) Take a Xanax earlier the night before (around 7:30pm). It'll take 30-40 min for it to kick in and then you'll sleep like a baby. Obviously, keep an addy handy just in case you wake up drowsy.

(2) In all seriousness tho, wake up at 5am the day before. You'll be tired by 8-9pm and waking up early for your SD should be easier that way. No need to change your entire schedule a week in advance.Idea

(1) works best depending on availability

Funniest

Jerk off the night before your superday. Beat that shit hard. The prolactin will get you into a good sleep state and you'll be able to get high quality sleep. Then waking up early won't bother you too much

Take some melatonin 30 minutes before sleep to change your circadian rhythm. If you’re interested in other drugs, inject some sr9009 when you wake up. Second one is extreme but, it’ll get you changed right quick

Ditto the advice on melatonin pills if you cant fall asleep but found they dont work for me. For whatever reason if I workout earlier in the day I fall asleep like a baby so would try to do that the day before (also lowers stress). Start pushing back your sleep schedule so you wake up at 7 tmrw, 6 the day after, etc. until you get used to waking up at 530 or whenever
